It looks like anarchists may be to blame for today’s mail-bomb attacks in Rome. A written claim by the Italian Anarchist Federation was found at the site of one of the two bombed embassies. Italian authorities had suspected anarchists were responsible for the attacks, which were similar to a two-day string of mail bombs last month that were sent to embassies in Athens and to Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Both embassy workers who opened the letters on Thursday suffered hand and chest wounds, and the Chilean embassy worker risks losing sight in one eye.
