Italian Anarchists No Real Threat?

Say authorities, after blasts rock embassies in Rome.

The anarchists responsible for the mail bombs that exploded at the Swiss and Chilean embassies in Rome Thursday announced in a letter left in the wreckage, “We will destroy the system of domination.” But Italian authorities say the anarchists represent a small group of perhaps several hundred individuals who communicate with other anarchist groups worldwide, and they pose no real threat to the Italian state. “This is something they have to do from time to time to show that they exist," said one official. "But the level of threat they pose is minimal."
