Jennifer Lopez was awarded the top honor at the GLAAD Awards on Saturday for serving as an executive producer of ABC's The Fosters, about a lesbian couple raising their children, and her outspoken advocacy for gay rights. The Vanguard Award recognizes efforts to increase visibility and understanding of the LGBT community. Other winners included the sister duo Tegan and Sera and Laverne Cox of Orange is the New Black.
