A jail guard in suburban Philadelphia is accused of sexually taunting inmates by making them play “patty-cake” to avoid punishment. Joseph Mullen, 34, faces charges of official oppression and harassment for the alleged abuse at Bucks County Correctional Facility in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Inmates who testified before a grand jury said that Mullen initiated sexually inappropriate conversations, commented on the size of their genitals, and lifted punishments for inmates who showed him their genitals. Others were told to play “patty-cake.” Mullen’s lawyer says his client “categorically denies these charges” and “is looking forward to challenging these charges in court.”
