James Mee, Mel Gibson's Arresting Officer, Wins Court Victory

James Mee, the sheriff's deputy who arrested Mel Gibson in 2006, can go ahead with his lawsuit against his department, which claims he was retaliated against after the incident. When Gibson was pulled over in Malibu on suspicion of drunk driving he made anti-Semitic slurs against the Jewish officer. Mee claims his superiors forced him to omit Gibson's rant from the report. The deputy says he was transferred after the high-profile arrest and was discriminated against, never receiving a promotion.
