Companies brought on to aid the Japanese government in containing damage at a nuclear power plant in March 2011 may have told employees to underreport radiation levels. The government is probing the allegations coming out of the work done at the Fukushima nuclear plant after the facility was rattled by an earthquake and massive tsunami last year. The government announced the new investigation Sunday, after the press reported allegations that the company may have covered up dangerous radiation levels at the plant so that employees could stay on the job longer.
