Validating “Abenomics.”

Japan’s new economic policy of inspiring growth through aggressive monetary policy seems to be gaining some traction. Household spending rose 5.2 percent in March from the year before, the biggest such monthly gain in nine years. Analysts are hoping that rising consumer spending and industrial production, inspired by a weaker yen, will help Japan break out of its growth doldrums.
