Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle is “profoundly sorry” and would like leniency in his sentencing for child-pornography charges. His lawyers have submitted a request for a five-year prison term, as opposed to the 12½-year term maximum under Fogle’s guilty plea to charges of traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and the distribution and receipt of child porn. The prosecution submitted their own memorandum suggesting the maximum sentence.
