GET READY FOR 2016

Jeb Bush Defends Immigration Reform

Insists “I haven’t changed.”

Prepping a highlight reel for 2016? Everyone knows denial is the first step. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush insisted Sunday that he has not changed his views on immigration—and that he is not taking a shift to the right in the wake of a possible 2016 presidential run. In Bush’s new book, he backs the U.S. writing policy that will provide permanent residence for undocumented immigrants, although in the past he had recommended a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. Bush insisted “I haven’t changed” on CBS’s Face the Nation and said he still supports a path to legalization for undocumented immigrants. Bush also defended former president George W. Bush’s legacy, saying, “History will be kind to my brother.”
