Jennie-O and its parent company, Hormel Foods, announced they would donate the $25,000 it had offered in reward money for information on formerly missing Wisconsin teen Jayme Closs directly to the 13-year-old after she escaped from her alleged captor on her own, The Associated Press reports. The companies said they are working with law enforcement to get the money to Closs. In a statement, Jennie-O President Steve Lykken said he hopes a trust fund can be set up for Closs to fund her “current and future needs.” Closs was missing for nearly three months after her parents, who worked for Jennie-O, were found murdered in the family's home late last year. Twenty-one-year-old Jake Patterson is accused of abducting Closs from her home and holding her against her will in a remote cabin. He is charged with kidnapping and homicide in connection to the case.
