The man widely thought to be ISIS beheader Jihadi John said in 2009 that he was interviewed by M15 and warned that they had been and would continue to keep a "close eye" on him. Mohammed Emwazi gave a taped interview to Cage, a controversial advocacy group that works with communities affected by the war on terror, in which he says M15 brought him in for questioning after he tried to travel to Tanzania five years ago. According to Emwazi, the agent told him they had monitored him and would continue because they thought he was going to Somalia to train, which he denied on the tape. "If I had the opportunity for those lives to come back then I would make those lives come back," he claimed he said when asked about the 9/11 terror attacks.
