John Oliver summoned the Internet's trolls, and they came. After the comedian and host of HBO's Last Week Tonight With John Oliver did a segment on net neutrality, he called for followers to flood the Federal Communications Commission's website with comments. Telling viewers to "focus your indiscriminate rage in a useful direction," Oliver provoked so many comments on the proposed rule to allow a two speed Internet that it caused the FCC to announce they were "experiencing technical difficulties with our comment system due to heavy traffic." Critics say net neutrality regulations could stifle technological innovation, slow the speed of Internet connections and raised price for consumers.
