Detectives are trying to identify the remains of eight young men killed by John Wayne Gacy more than 30 years ago. After exhuming the remains of eight unidentified Gacy victims, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in Chicago found there was enough DNA material to potentially match them to family members. The sheriff’s office has set up a phone bank to field calls from people who have relatives who went missing between 1970 and 1978. "They were young men with futures, who at some point had families that cared about their kid," said Sheriff Tom Dart. Until the victims are identified, "it's like they didn't even exist." Gacy admitted to killing 33 men and burying most of them in a crawl space under his house.
