Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie may have a wicked reputation when it comes to her personal life, but the actress could soon be going villainous professionally as well. Sources tell the Los Angeles Times that Jolie is in talks to star as Maleficent in Tim Burton's live-action remake of the classic Disney animated film, Sleeping Beauty. The prospective role is the title character's evil fairy godmother who casts a spell on blond protagonist Princess Aurora that she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die. Disney recently announced that Linda Woolverton (of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King) is working on the Sleeping Beauty screenplay, but declined to comment (as did Jolie's manager) about the actress' involvement in the film.
