Jon Polito, Frequent Coen Brothers Actor, Dead at 65

Actor Jon Polito, best known for his many roles in films directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, has died at age 65. According to his friend and frequent collaborator John McNaughton, the actor appeared in more than 100 films—including Coen classics The Big Lebowski, Miller’s Crossing, and Barton Fink—and countless TV (Homicide: Life on the Street) and Broadway productions. “Jon was a born actor and will be deeply missed by his legion of friends, fans, family and of course his long time partner, Darryl Armbruster to whom I send my condolences. R.I.P. old pal,” he added in a Facebook eulogy.
