A federal judge on Friday said he will issue a ruling on April 14 that will allow same-sex marriages from other states to be recognized in Ohio, despite the state's 10-year-old ban on same-sex unions. U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Black spoke during a case brought by gay couples who challenged Ohio's refusal to recognize them on children's birth certificates.
