Let the saga of Donald Sterling and the Clippers rest. On Monday, a judge found that Shelly Sterling acted properly when she removed her husband as a trustee and negotiated the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers, clearing the way for the $2 billion hand-off to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. But the decision was only preliminary, meaning that Donald Sterling’s objections will still be reviewed before a final ruling. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says the Sterlings will be removed if the sale isn’t final by mid-September.
