Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle claimed the top spot in North American theaters this weekend, ending the three-week reign of Star Wars: The Last Jedi as the box-office champion. Jumanji, starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black, pulled in $36 million in its third weekend. The horror flick Insidious: The Last Key, the only new wide release this weekend, came in second place, with $29.3 million in ticket sales. The Last Jedi slid to third place but held strong with $23.6 million in ticket sales in its fourth week, giving it a cumulative total of $572.5 million in North American theaters.
