Jupiter Makes Closest Approach in 50 Years

Get the telescope out: Jupiter will be closer to Earth on Monday than it has been at any time in the past 50 years. The planet will pass 368 million miles away from Earth; consequently, it will be the biggest and brightest it’s been in the sky since 1963. Uranus will also be close Monday night but will be harder to see.
