Kanye West Ends NYC Concert After Kim Held at Gunpoint

Kanye West on Sunday evening cut short his headlining set at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival in New York City after Kim Kardashian was reported to have been held at gunpoint in Paris. Kanye’s departure was abrupt, as he quickly told the crowd, “I’m sorry, there’s a family emergency, I have to stop the show,” before exiting the stage. The rapper was in the middle of his song “Heartless” when someone reportedly pulled him aside to speak with him. Shortly thereafter, news had broken that armed men disguised as police officers robbed Kim Kardashian West of what was reported to be as much as $10 million in jewelry in a luxury Paris apartment early Monday. “Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint... this evening by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed,” a representative said. The reality-TV star left on her private jet shortly after giving a statement to police. Five armed men reportedly stormed her residence, held up a security guard, and then gained entry to her apartment. According to CNN, Kardashian was locked in a bathroom, and the men stole two cellphones. They escaped on motorcycles, police said. Kardashian was in Paris for the city’s fashion week.
