Kasem’s Daughters Can Pull the Plug

The gruesome Kasem family saga continues. It was reported Wednesday that a judge in the Casey Kasem conservatorship case reversed a ruling on Tuesday that doctors had to continue providing food, medication, and nourishment. Judge Daniel S. Murphy said he changed his mind after reading hospital records from St. Anthony’s near Seattle, where the legendary DJ is currently being cared for. “It would be acutely harmful for Mr. Kasem to have nutrition and hydration restored at this time,” the judge said. “This was at the advisement of doctors at St. Anthony’s.” His daughter Kerri Kasem can now choose to have her father taken off fluid and feeding tubes. Kasem’s wife, Jean, reportedly stormed out of the Los Angeles courtroom, saying “You have blood on your hands.”
