4. ‘Weird’ Al Gets Whiplashed

To announce the tour supporting his chart-topping album, Mandatory Fun, musical parodist par excellence ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic turned his spoofing skills toward the Oscar-nominated film Whiplash. Al replaces the film’s lead actor Miles Teller and gets terrorized by Best Supporting Actor frontrunner J.K. Simmons.

3. Survey Said, ‘That’s Raunchy!’

Family Feud host Steve Harvey is at his best when a contestant’s answer stuns him. In response to the question, “Name something a doctor might pull out of a person,” this contestant’s raunchy answer—besides making her opponent laugh hysterically—sets Harvey off. Actor Richard Gere was not reached for comment.

2. High-Speed Chase Stopped by ‘Mama Bear’

A high-speed police chase in Dallas this week was stopped not by the law but by an angry mom. The suspect, feeling from cops, ran his car into two vehicles stopped at an intersection. Jessica Liesmann, owner of one of the damaged cars, flew into a rage and proceeded to beat the suspect mercilessly until police arrived to apprehend him. Fortunately, Liesmann and her 13-year-old son were unharmed in the crash, and a local auto dealership even gave her a new car as a thank you.

1. The BuzzFeeder-in-Chief

President Obama is just like the rest of us. According to this video from BuzzFeed—“Things Everybody Does But Doesn’t Talk About”—the Commander-in-Chief makes faces in a mirror, gets hung up on pronouncing certain words, and uses a selfie stick. He even says, “Thanks, Obama,” when something bad and trivial happens to him, which is such a specific type of meta-irony that could only be given a name in German.
