Keira Knightley’s Missing Nipple, VS Apologizes for Native Lingerie

Keira Knightley’s Missing Nipple: Unless she is anatomically gifted in odd ways, Keira Knightley’s nipple was obviously airbrushed out of her Allure cover photo. The Mario Testino–shot photo shoot was meant to plug Knightley’s new film, Anna Karenina, but instead the story’s become a contradictory lesson in Photoshopping. Ironically, her interview with the magazine addresses Photoshopping—specifically when it comes to breasts. “They always pencil in my boobs. I was only angry when they were really droopy ... I thought, well if you’re going to make me fantasy breasts, at least make perky breasts.” [Allure]

Marc Jacobs’s New Sunglass Rub: Marc Jacobs loves himself some irony. So what better way to advertise his sunglasses than with a video of a man cleaning his lenses—that’s shot from behind so it looks like he’s rubbing on something else. It’s both cheeky and vulgar at the same time. [The Cut]

Barbie Girl: Plastic surgery has given way to reenvisioned nightmares like the Catwoman, but it seems the Ukraine has provided us with a whole different specimen—a “human Barbie.” Twenty-one-year-old Valeria Lukyanova has achieved the Barbie look without plastic surgery —but a lot of makeup, as chronicled in V magazine. She even has 535,000 Facebook fans. “Every good-looking woman with fine features and a slim figure looks like a doll. I won’t deny that I play along with people’s perceptions. I’m amused by the reactions. I don’t take it seriously,” she told the magazine. [Yahoo Shine]

VS Apologizes for Their Native Gaffe: When we saw Karlie Kloss come down the Victoria’s Secret runway in a Native American–inspired headdress, we knew it spelled trouble. In fact, less than one week after the show’s taping (it airs on Dec. 4), the outfit has already been cut from the special’s televised lineup after sparking massive controversy on the Internet. In the past day both VS and Kloss have issued apologies. “We are sorry that the Native American headdress replica use in our recent fashion show has upset individuals ... out of respect, we will not be including the outfit in any broadcast ...,” VS wrote. Kloss tweeted her apology, writing, “I am deeply sorry if what I wore during the VS show offended anyone. I support VS’s decision to remove the outfit from the broadcast.” [Fashionista]

Taylor Swift Can’t Wear a Dress Twice: Taylor Swift paired down her ringlets and rouge for Harper’s Bazaar’s latest issue, with an interview that discusses the true hardships of fame. Poor Taylor just can’t rewear a dress. Not even once. “I’m in a predicament where I can’t wear a dress twice or else it’s pointed out in magazines ... so unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time.” Quite the predicament. Anne Hathaway’s Miserable Les Mis Diet: Anne Hathaway’s prep for the role of Fantine in the upcoming Les Misérables film wasn’t pretty. In fact, to play a destitute, dying prostitute, Hathaway had to go on a serious diet that allowed her only two squares of dried oatmeal paste a day. “I had to become obsessive about it, the idea was to look near death,” she told Vogue magazine.
