On Tuesday morning, Kenyan officials said the last of the hostages have been released from Westgate mall, where al Qaeda–linked terrorists had held them since Saturday. Kenya's foreign minister also said there were "two or three Americans" among the gunmen, aged 18 to 19, and "one Brit," a woman. Officials did not confirm the number of released hostages and said security forces were still combing the mall. Earlier in the day smoke poured from the mall after the Kenyan military launched an all-out assault on the remaining gunmen. At least 68 people have been killed and 175 wounded in the attack.
