Kenyans Dominate New York City Marathon

Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya edged out four-time marathon winner and co-national Mary Keitany. Geoffrey Kamworor, also of Kenya, took the men’s title.

Joyciline Jepkosgei of Kenya won the women’s division of the New York City marathon Sunday, edging out four-time winner Mary Keitany, also of Kenya, with an unofficial time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 38 seconds. The men’s race title went to Kenyan Geoffrey Kamworor, who ran the 26.2 mile race with an unofficial time of 2 hours, 8 minutes and 13 seconds. He finished third last year after winning the marathon in 2017.
