Key Bridgegate Figure to Plead Guilty to Felony Charges

BRIDGEGATE

Unrelated to Christie’s bridge scandal.

David Samson, the former chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, will plead guilty to a felony charge not directly related to the so-called "Bridgegate" scandal in which he was involved. Samson, an appointee of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, allegedly curried favor with United Airlines to set up a route to his vacation home in South Carolina—one that was scrapped just a few days after Samson resigned from his post in March 2014. The guilty plea could come as early as this week.
