Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) confirmed to The New York Times on Thursday that he will not seek re-election in 2018. Dent, a moderate Republican who has been an outspoken critic of President Trump, is the co-chairman of the Tuesday Group, a collection of moderate Republicans in the House of Representatives. Dent joins Reps. Dave Reichert (R-WA) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), who are also retiring at the end of their term. Those seats are potential pick-ups for Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections.
