Maybe he can avoid arrest this time. Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom launched a new cloud storage and file-sharing site at dawn on Sunday. Megaupload was shut down in January after police raids on Dotcom’s offices and home, amidst claims that many users were engaged in pirating content and illegally sharing it. But Dotcom says that the new site, Mega, complies with the law. “This is not some kind of finger to the U.S. government or to Hollywood,” he said. “Legally, there’s just nothing there that could be used to shut us down.” Within hours of its launch, the site had 250,000 users.
