Early reports indicated that the hairdo known as the "Chinese smuggler haircut" sported by dictator Kim Jong-un would reportedly become required for men in North Korea. However, it is now disputed whether the irrascible North Korean dictator is actually forcing men across the nation to replicate his hairdo. Though the BBC ran the story, the original source is a Radio Free Asia story, which only ran on its Korean-language site. "This sounds like BS to me," said Aidan Foster Carter, an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in Sociology & Modern Korea at Leeds University in Britain. "For a start, no one else in North Korea seems to sport a Kim Jong Un hairdo!"
