The famous dagger discovered in the wrapping of King Tutankhamun’s mummified remains was made with iron from a meteorite, according to a new scientific analysis released Wednesday. The study, performed by a professor of materials science at the Polytechnic University of Milan in Italy, revealed that the Egyptian boy king’s blade contains 10 percent nickel and 0.6 percent cobalt—similar composition to that of 11 metallic meteorites.
