It was another emotional day in court for Amanda Knox, who was back for an appeal hearing Saturday in Perugia, Italy, where little progress was made in Knox's nearly four-year legal saga concerning the murder of former housemate Meredith Kercher. Wearing a beige satin button-down and black pants, Knox tearfully addressed the court: "I am innocent and have been in jail for more than three and a half years. It is very frustrating and mentally exhausting for me." DNA experts examining the presumed murder weapon and a bra clip found at the scene asked for an additional 40 days to conduct further tests. The alleged weapon and bra were presented as evidence in an earlier trial. The court granted DNA examiners 30 additional days for testing (findings will now have to be filed by July 25), but they also allowed that five more witnesses would testify on Knox's behalf in the next hearing. Knox's next hearing will likely be in August.
