Conservative billionaire donors Charles and David Koch have no plans to fund any efforts to block Donald Trump from seeking the Republican presidential nomination, a spokesman told Reuters on Wednesday. “We have no plans to get involved in the primary,” said James Davis, a spokesman for Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce, the Koch brothers’ central financial group. The megadonors spent $400 million in the 2012 election cycle and had indicated they would spend more than double that in the runup to 2016. The brothers reportedly thought spending millions on attacking Trump would be money wasted since they have yet to see any attack hurt the frontrunner, three sources close to the Kochs told Reuters.
