On Wednesday night, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning gave his first late-night interview since winning Super Bowl 50 to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show. And apparently he had so much fun, that he came back on Thursday.
If you looked close, however, you may have realized that it was actually Kristen Wiig in a Peyton Manning costume. Instead of promoting her role in this week’s Zoolander 2, Fallon’s former SNL castmate did her entire interview as Manning, despite knowing next to nothing about him, or football for that matter.
“I’m still so tired from Sunday,” she said, referring to the Denver Broncos’s big victory over the Carolina Panthers. “I tried really hard.” Per usual, Fallon barely managed to keep it together throughout the improvised conversation.
The whole thing ended with Wiig showing off her impeccable football skills, throwing a gold ball in the general direction of a small hole across the stage.
Of course, this was not the first time Wiig declined to appear as herself on the Tonight Show. In previous appearances, she pretended to be Michael Jordan and Khaleesi from Game of Thrones.
