Kurds Rescue Swedish Teen Girl from ISIS

Kurdish special forces announced Tuesday that they rescued a Swedish teenager from the clutches of ISIS near the Iraqi city of Mosul last week. Swedish news reports previously identified the teen as Marlin Stivani Nivarlain, a 16-year-old girl from the city of Boras. The girl was allegedly misled by an ISIS member to travel from Sweden to Syria and eventually Iraq. The United States, although working with Kurdish forces, did not participate in the Feb. 17 raid.
