At nearly the same time authorities were catching up with the last of the inmates who escaped from an Orange County jail last weekend, a murder suspect was accidentally released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Steve Lawrence Wright, 37, was charged with a gang-related murder, and is now being sought by officials after an Inmate Reception Center mistakenly let him walk out the door Saturday afternoon. Authorities didn’t notice the error until Sunday night.
