It looks like they’re headed for a runoff. City Councilman Eric Garcetti and Controller Wendy Greuel are the two top candidates in the Los Angeles mayoral race, but neither captured enough votes in Tuesday’s election to be declared a winner. The two had long been favored as the frontrunners and, because of their similar stances on most issues, became hard to differentiate from one another. Not only is L.A. in store for a new mayor, but a city attorney, controller, and 15 new city council members will be chosen in this election—bringing in the biggest political changes to the city in almost 10 years.
