Authorities in Los Angeles have issued mandatory evacuation orders for about 200 homes in the Brace Canyon Park area of Burbank as a raging wildfire approaches. The La Tuna fire has already burned about 2,000 acres of land in the La Tuna Canyon Park area, and due to “erratic fire behavior, driven by strong, gusting winds,” it’s difficult for firefighters to predict all the areas at risk, the Los Angeles Fire Department said early Saturday. The National Weather Service also warned of “extreme fire behavior” due to high winds in the area. Nearly 300 firefighters were battling the fire as of Friday night, though it was only 10 percent contained. The fire has also shut down a 12-mile stretch of Interstate 210 during a busy holiday weekend.
