Hopefully this goes better than Oakland's eviction. Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced that the City Hall park where Occupy Los Angeles protesters have been camped for the last seven weeks will be closed midnight Monday. The move marks a shift from Los Angeles's early treatment of the protesters, when the City Council passed a resolution in support of the demonstration and Villaraigosa himself handed out jackets when it started to rain. Police have not said whether they will use rubber bullets or tear gas to disperse protesters who refuse to leave.
