Tour de Fraud

See, librarians do have a sense of humor. A part-time staff member at the Manly Library in Australia displayed a tongue-in-cheek sign on Saturday claiming that all of the “nonfiction” books that were written or cowritten by Lance Armstrong—including Lance Armstrong: Images of a Champion and Lance Armstrong: World’s Greatest Champion—will soon be moved to the fiction section. (Armstrong admitted to Oprah last week that doping helped him win the Tour de France a record seven times.) The library’s community liaison librarian said the sign was a joke, and staff members could not recategorize books without instructions from Libraries Australia. That’s too bad.
