You think he can still get a reference letter? Mike Anderson, Lance Armstrong’s personal assistant between 2002–2004, is speaking out against his former boss, after he was recently stripped of his titles for doping. Anderson writes in an article for Outside magazine that he once found androstenedione—a banned steroid—in Lance’s bathroom. Anderson claims he asked Armstrong whether or not another rider was doping, and that Lance allegedly answered “Everyone does it.” Armstrong can no longer play the “good guy who’s being victimized,” his former assistant says, describing the Tour de France champion as spiteful and self-interested. Their professional relationship ended when Anderson refused to sign a nondisclosure agreement banning him from discussing his work with Lance.
