Can we call him the Jose Canseco of cycling? Floyd Landis, the American who won the Tour De France in 2006 only to have his title stripped after he failed a doping test, has finally admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs. The admission came in emails he sent to other riders and cycling officials, several of whom—including Lance Armstrong—he accuses of also using PEDs. In the emails, obtained by The Wall Street Journal, Landis says Armstrong’s longtime coach, Johan Bruyneel, introduced him to several PEDs in 2002 and 2003, and he says that Armstrong helped him understand how the drugs worked. “He and I had lengthy discussions about it on our training rides during which time he also explained to me the evolution of EPO testing and how transfusions were now necessary due to the inconvenience of the new test," Landis writes.
