The man shot to death by Los Angeles police in Skid Row on Sunday has been identified as 39-year-old Charley Saturmin Robinet, who was convicted of armed bank robbery 15 years ago. The LAPD said they had responded to a burglary call when they confronted him. Robinet was sent to federal prison for allegedly robbing a Wells Fargo in Thousand Oaks, along with other suspects. Together, the suspects led police on a car chase through Ventury County that ended when the suspects' vehicle struck a police car and ran over a spike strip. Nevertheless, protests have formed at the site of the shooting. “There’s too many of these going on,” said Tina Medina. “If there’s conflict, find some other way. That’s someone’s son.”
