Lawmaker: Castration for Sex Offenders

In Alabama.

State Representative Steve Hurst of Montgomery Alabama introduced a bill proposing castration for individuals who commit sex offenses against children. The proposed legislation would be for sex offenders over the age of 21 who have committed an offenses against a child 12 years or younger. Hurst has introduced the bill unsuccessfully in the past.
