Lena Dunham wants everyone to take a chill pill. After a report Wednesday night claiming that Girls creator and star Lena Dunham—who filmed an ad for President Obama—did not vote in the 2012 election, the actress responded on Twitter with the full story about her voting experience. According to the blog Room Eight, Dunham registered in 2008 to vote in 2008, but did not vote in the 2012 general election. Dunham was in India during the election. On Thursday, Dunham tweeted, "So not to be a martyr about it but I flew to New York to vote. I wasn't sure if my change of address had officially been registered so I went to my old polling place with my dad, where they let me vote by affidavit (which was totally allowed.)" Dunham's jestful kicker: "Obviously I voted for Romney. I hope everyone has a nice day."
