Certain traditional gender roles can lead to a more sexually satisfying marriage. This is the topic of Christina Hoff Sommers’ article in Slate Magazine, “Guys Who Do Housework Get Less Sex.”

In what can be considered a response to Sheryl Sandberg’s controversial new book, Lean In, Sommers contends that no, men doing household chores that are traditionally done by women is not a turn-on for wives. Sommers points to study published in the American Sociological Review as evidence that contradicts this Sandberg-esque “feminist idyll.”
