A new reported released Wednesday found the percentage of American teens who have had sex has declined significantly over the last 25 years. The data, published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics, found the number of teens ages 15 to 19 who have had sex decreased by 14 percent for females and 22 percent for males. Using survey data from 2011 to 2013, the study showed just 44 percent of female teens and 47 percent of male teens said they had sex at least one time. The report also found the number of teen girls who used the morning-after pill has increased from 8 percent in 2002 to 22 percent in 2011-13.
