David Letterman took his final Late Show bow with a preliminary estimated audience of 13.76 million viewers, the show’s largest since February 1994. Only three episodes, two during the Nancy Kerrigan-Tonya Harding Olympics scandal and the show’s premiere in August 2003, drew higher ratings. Total-viewer estimates are expected to arrive later on Thursday.
