Lightning Halts Gulf-Oil Operation

The Gods can have the touchdown Jesus statue, but did they really need to strike the tanker siphoning oil from the Gulf with lightning too? BP suspended its oil containment operation on Tuesday after lightning struck the ship capturing oil and caused a fire on board. The fire was extinguished without injury, but the operation will not resume until Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, Gulf officials revised upward the estimate amount of leaking oil; they now place the number between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels per day.
