Lightning does strike twice. Visitors were killed on two successive days while hiking in a national park in Colorado. On Friday, an Ohio woman was struck dead and seven were injured while walking toward a trail's start at Rocky Mountain National Park. Then, on Saturday, a man from Nebraska was killed and three others were injured when lightning hit the trail. Colorado has had the second-highest rate of lightning deaths for the past nine years, but no one has died during a strike in the Rockies since 2000.
