U.S. skiing legend Lindsey Vonn claimed a bronze medal in Women’s Downhill in Pyeongchang on Wednesday, the third Olympic medal of her career and likely her last as she hints at retirement. Vonn, who took a downhill gold and a bronze in the Super-G event at Vancouver in 2010, finished behind Italian skier Sofia Goggia and Norwegian Ragnhild Mowinckel. “I gave it my best shot,” she told NBC News after the race. But she choked up a bit when adding that the race was her “last downhill.” “It’s sad. I love what I do. But my body just probably can’t take another four years,” she said. Vonn, 33, missed the 2014 Games after a knee injury and suffered a slew of injuries throughout her career, repeatedly making comebacks after getting knocked down with broken bones, torn ligaments, and a concussion.
